OUR FAMILY
Originally from Laos, the Ho family escaped to a refugee camp in Thailand in 1987 and made their way to Hawaii. As a tight knit family of four who run the farm together, they are unafraid of hard work but learning the hard way that the only way to really make a fair and good living was to work for yourself.
WEI CHONG HO
Founder and Farming Specialist
Wei Chong Ho, the family's patriach, originally had no farming experience. He educated himself in modern farming techniques. For instruction, he even traveled to Taiwan to learn in Chinese. He says, "My English not so good then." But learning he became a successful business owner is still heavily involved in the day-to-day farming operations. .
LE XIENG HO
Co-Founder and Production Manager
Le Xieng, the matriach of the family, loved the idea of farming with her husband. Knowing only a little of the backyard farming from her own family did in Lao, she became an integral part of all their initial decision making. In fact, her love of tomatoes is why the farm has so many different variations of their cherry tomatoes today. Even while they have many workers to pick and sort through them, you will still find Le Xieng in the field picking tomatoes and admiring their beautiful colors.
SHIN HO
Operations Manager
As a graduate of California State North Ridge with a BA in International Business and Marketing and minor in Economics, Shin oversees the farm's daily operations ensuring it is up-to-date with society's expectations. As the more outspoken member of the family, Shin is also the face and voice of the company at every networking event.
NEIL HO
Information Technology & Logistics Manager
Neil earned a degree in Network Communication Management from Brown University and while in school he worked part time for a large shipping company. It was there that he learned a lot about logistics and what it took to move product around. Neil not only is the farm's resident IT geek but is the main person responsible for getting their fresh produce out to vendors in a timely manner.

FELIPE GARCIA
Crew Foreman
10 years ago Felipe moved to Hawaii and his first job was at Ho Farms as a field picker. Now many later, he oversees a small group of field pickers. No one knows the farm land as well as Felipe. His belief is that quality check doesn't happen in the warehouse but out on the field.
MARK TAMMER
Farm Agriculturist
With a Agriculture degree and years of work experience as a plant breeder/geneticist, Mark is always making sure the farming conditions are right. He has implemented newer technologies which has resulted in a wider variety of crops while producing them more efficiently.
LEI AU
Marketing Specialist
Lei worked with a couple big PR firms in New York before deciding to move to Hawaii far away from the hussle and bustle of the big city. As a vegetarian and advocate of sustainability and organic products, it just made sense to work at Ho Farms. Lei's background, experience and passion for what she does makes her an integral part of the team.
